Mount Pleasant Media Workshop was asked by St Mary's Community Festival 2004 to complete a series of arts workshops with the community who is local to the annual festival.

The project was created to celebrate the idea of Southampton as a centre for transport including the shipping industry which has been part of Southampton's history since the city began.  

The participants took photographs of each other and/or wrote text about how they had come to Southampton, their hopes and aspirations for their time in the city and places they might like to travel to from the town.
