Display Panel Design
This course is for members of Southampton based community groups and charities.
Like to know how to design and print eye catching display panels?
The Media Workshop has a large format inkjet printer. This resource has been set to help voluntary groups and individuals produce large format displays and exhibitions.
This training will be basic and simple covering: Basic design principals, Editing photographic images and Typography.
Participants need to bring 5 images to be scanned and around 100 words of text about their group or project. They will receive tuition in using Microsoft Publisher on a PC, how to set up the large format printer, and how to print and laminate.
Community group members will be encouraged to come along in pairs. The pair will then work together as a group. (Although this is not essential).
Participants will take away 1 A1 (23″ x33″) full colour laminated panel.
To get the most out of our computer based courses you should have some basic computer skills such as word processing & have experience in launching applications, saving files, creating folders & copying files.
